How to add a booking calendar to your website

Your website should not be a brochure that sends guests back to Airbnb. If someone is already on your site, they are warm. A live booking calendar lets them choose dates immediately, and a direct booking lets you keep more of the booking value.

Option 1: Embed a booking widget

This is the easiest option for most hosts. Paste a small snippet into WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or any custom website. Hosta's widget looks like this:

The widget shows a booking flow on your own site. Guests do not need to email, wait, or leave your brand.

Option 2: Link to your booking page

If you cannot edit your website yet, add a "Book direct" button that links to your Hosta booking page. Put the same link in your Instagram bio, WhatsApp Business profile, Google Business Profile, and email signature.

Option 3: Use the public booking API

If you want full design control, use the Hosta public API for availability, booking submission, iCal feeds, and host property lists. This is useful for agencies and hosts with a custom brand site.

Why this matters for Airbnb fees

Airbnb says many hosts are moving to a 15.5% single host fee. That does not mean you should leave Airbnb. It does mean your own website should be able to take bookings from people who already know you. A website visitor who clicks back to Airbnb is a visitor you paid to earn, then paid again to convert.

• A clear Book direct button above the fold.
• A live booking calendar, not a static image.
• Calendar sync with Airbnb and other channels.
• A mobile-friendly form that asks only for necessary details.
• A confirmation email that tells guests what happens next.
