Where it came from

Before Hosta had a name, it was an internal system managing real bookings for a real property: real guests, real double-booking scares, real 11 PM WhatsApp messages asking "is next weekend free?". We tried the big platforms and found them either too expensive, too complicated, or built for someone managing hundreds of units. So we built what we actually needed, and it worked. Other hosts asked to use it. That's Hosta.

What we care about

We focus on the everyday problems hosts actually face: taking direct bookings without commission, keeping one calendar that's always right, answering guests quickly, and knowing who's arriving this week. Not dashboards for the sake of dashboards.

Hosta is intentionally simple. You get the essentials first: a booking page, a calendar that syncs with Airbnb and the others, guest emails that send themselves, and a clear view of your money. You can set it up in an afternoon without a manual.

Where it's going
